Moonshot AI closes round at $50B valuation

Moonshot AI, the Beijing-based lab behind the Kimi models, closed its final private funding round at a $50B valuation, with a Hong Kong IPO planned for early 2027, according to Bloomberg as reported by Silicon Republic on 6 Oct 2026.

The same report puts Moonshot's current annualized recurring revenue (ARR) at about $1B, with the company targeting $2B ARR by December 2026. The $2B figure is a forward-looking target the company has stated, not a result it has reported, so the scoreboard labels it "claimed" and does not score it.

On the scoreboard as of 19 Oct 2026, Moonshot ranks 7th of 10 labs with a score of 46.3, and is one of six labs with full 5-of-5 coverage: an Arena rank of 18 (score 1487, model Kimi K3 (Max)), an Artificial Analysis position of 34 (index 43.6, same model), $1B in revenue, the $50B valuation, and a 0.35% Polymarket Yes price in the "best AI model end of 2026" market.

Moonshot's $50B valuation sits well below OpenAI's $852B (31 Mar 2026) and Anthropic's $965B (28 May 2026), and next to DeepSeek's $51.82B (17 Jul 2026), which also has about $1B in revenue on the board (a Sacra estimate).
